DESCRIPTION
Aromas of raspberry, blackberry, and hints of black licorice. Followed by ­flavors of pomegranate, boysenberry, plum, and subtle tea and spice elements. On the palate this vintage presents plush, fine-integrated tannins balanced by a juicy acidity.
Polished. Expressive. Extraordinary.
This is a wine that can actually stand up to more robust fare including coffee-crusted filet mignon, Moroccan-spiced lamb or herbed roasted almonds. Aged cheeses are a spectacular match, especially with dried berries alongside.
